At ScriptStormers ("we," "our," or "us"), we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our pocket production studio workspace.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum amount of data required to run your account securely:

  • Account Information: When you log in using Google Sign-In, we receive your public Google profile data (your name, email address, and profile picture placeholder).
  • Billing Information: All payment processing is handled securely by our third-party billing processor, Stripe. ScriptStormers does not see, store, or process your raw credit card numbers. Stripe provides us only with transaction confirmations and tokenized subscription IDs.
  • Usage Logs: We collect basic analytical data (such as browser type and token consumption rates) to maintain site performance.

2. The Local Video Storage Principle (No Video Collection)

  • Your Privacy, Your Storage: ScriptStormers is built on a local-first rendering architecture. When you record video content using our Mobile Teleprompter or Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Canvas features, the camera stream, microphone audio, and background video are merged entirely within your phone or computer browser cache.
  • Zero Server Uploads: The final video file downloads directly to your device's local Files or Downloads folder. We do not upload, view, store, monitor, or host your raw recorded video or audio files on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the basic data we collect solely to manage your account status, track your 3,000-token free trial allocation, and send critical automated account emails (such as Stripe invoice confirmations).

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell or trade your data. We share processing information only with trusted infrastructure services necessary to operate our app: Google Firebase (Authentication), Stripe (Payment Processing), and the OpenAI/Anthropic API nodes (Text Generation).

5. Cookies and Tracking Data

We use essential session tokens to keep you securely signed into your dashboard so you do not have to re-authenticate with Google every time you open a new tab.

6. Data Security and Retaining Your Data

We utilize industry-standard encryption measures to protect your account state. If you wish to permanently delete your account and remove your email from our system, you may request account termination at any time by contacting support.

7. Children's Privacy

ScriptStormers is built for content creators and businesses, and is not directed toward or knowingly gathering data from individuals under the age of 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy as we introduce new camera or studio integrations. Any updates will be noted by changing the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
